Silvapark ski area in Galtür Family ski area in the Tyrolean Alps
The ski area of Galtür in the Tyrolean Alps is known for its authentic charm. The people of Galtür have consciously chosen to avoid mass tourism, creating a nature-oriented, family-friendly ski resort in the Alps.
1 Ski area – 6 sectors
The Silvapark follows this concept as well. Ski slopes, snow parks, children’s areas, cross-country trails and ski touring routes are divided into six sectors. Special emphasis has been placed on preserving the natural beauty of the landscape in its original form.
The “Zwergerlwelt” and “Abenteuerland” sectors are designed especially for children. The “Actionpark” is aimed at teenagers and sporty adults, while the “Heldenreich” offers ideal conditions for experienced freestylers and freeriders. In the “Pistenparadies”, athletes find perfect conditions for alpine skiing and race snowboarding. The “High & Nordic” sector includes ski touring routes into the high mountains as well as numerous cross-country ski trails. Thanks to this diversity, the ski area in Tyrol offers exactly the right experience for everyone.
Activities off the slopes Cross-country skiing, winter hiking & wellness
Even away from the slopes, Galtür offers a wide range of winter sports activities. Cross-country skiing, winter hiking or snowshoe hiking, ski touring or ice skating allow you to actively enjoy the snowy landscape. Those who want even more variety will find an equally diverse leisure offer in the nearby villages of Ischgl, Kappl and See.
In case of bad weather, a visit to the Alpinarium Galtür or the Silvretta Therme Ischgl is highly recommended. Both offer unique architecture, exciting exhibitions, or relaxing pools and saunas – perfect for restful hours away from the slopes.
Alpinarium Galtür
If the weather does not cooperate, we recommend a visit to the “Alpinarium Galtür”. Even from the outside, the Alpinarium is something truly special. Its nature-adapted exterior architecture, integrated into a 345-metre-long and 19-metre-high protective wall, is unique in Europe. The interior also impresses with its modern and artistically refined design. The museum has received prestigious awards, including the Austrian Museum Quality Seal and a place among the Top 6 of the European Museum Prize 2007.
